Marketing Coordinator

Full-Time | In-Person | Downtown Collingwood

Coriander Life and Coriander Style are looking for a Marketing Coordinator who can help keep our stores — and our marketing — lively, consistent, and well organized.

This is a hybrid role combining hands-on marketing responsibility with time on the retail sales floor. You need to genuinely enjoy both.

Part of your week will be dedicated specifically to marketing. During that time, you will be responsible for planning, creating, and completing marketing work independently — from social media content and weekly emails to promotions and store events.

The rest of your week will be spent working with our customers and team at Coriander Life and Coriander Style.

We are looking for someone who is creative, but equally importantly, organized, dependable, and good at getting things finished.

Marketing Responsibilities

You will take responsibility for keeping Coriander's marketing organized, current and consistent.

This includes:

• Maintaining and working from a weekly and monthly marketing calendar

• Planning, creating and scheduling consistent social media content

• Shooting and editing simple, engaging photo and video content in our stores

• Creating Reels, Stories and other social content that feels current and reflects our brand

• Creating our regular email campaigns using Klaviyo

• Writing clear, engaging captions, emails and promotional copy

• Updating our Google Business profiles and other digital listings

• Helping plan and promote store events, sales and community initiatives

• Coordinating marketing materials and deadlines with the marketing team

• Reviewing basic marketing results and identifying what is working

• Keeping projects moving without needing constant reminders or supervision

We don't expect one person to be an expert at absolutely everything. We do expect you to already be comfortable creating digital content and to have demonstrated experience managing marketing work from idea through to completion.

Retail Responsibilities

You will also be an active member of our store team.

This includes:

• Working scheduled shifts at Coriander Life and Coriander Style, including some weekends

• Helping customers and contributing to store sales

• Building genuine relationships with our customers

• Supporting merchandising and visual presentation

• Helping maintain beautiful, welcoming and well-organized stores

• Contributing positively to the team and jumping in where needed

You'll Be Successful At This Job If You:

• Are extremely organized and naturally keep track of deadlines, details, and commitments

• Are a self-starter who doesn't need someone continually checking whether something got done

• Have hands-on experience creating social media content for a business or organization

• Understand that successful social media requires consistency, not just occasional great ideas

• Can comfortably shoot and edit short-form video content

• Have a good visual eye

• Write clearly and naturally

• Enjoy learning new digital tools

• Can move between creative work, administrative details, and a busy retail environment

• Genuinely enjoy working with customers

• Take pride in finishing things well and on time

Experience We're Looking For

Previous experience in marketing, social media, communications, or content creation is required.  Experience with some of the following would be particularly valuable:

• Instagram and Facebook

• Reels and short-form video

• Klaviyo or another email marketing platform

• Shopify

• Google Business

• Basic photography and video editing

Retail experience is strongly preferred.

You do need to demonstrate that you can:  Plan. Prioritize. Create. Follow through.

We need someone who can be given responsibility for a project, organize the work required, and make sure it gets completed.

Important to Know

• This is a full-time, in-person position in downtown Collingwood

• This is not a remote marketing position

• The role includes dedicated marketing workdays as well as scheduled retail shifts

• Some weekend availability is required

• We are looking for someone interested in making a long-term commitment to the role

• Compensation will be based on experience
