Lorie Meeboer is a Canadian artist living and working in Corbyville, Ontario. Her work is heavily influenced by the Canadian Shield, a significant part of her childhood. An avid kayaker, Lori shoots most of her reference photos from kayak trips in Canada. Her strong, bold and colourful style is intentional, meant to reflect the rugged Canadian landscape. You may also notice a similarity to stained glass mosaic. Her semi abstract mosaicism style has, in part, developed as a result of her work with glass.
